ST. JOHN'S TERMINAL FRIEZE
This installation, located in a 1.3m sq ft headquarters in New York City, is a celebration of the company’s new adaptive reuse strategies. Iconic details from New York City’s streets and subtle hints of the brand intermingle to create a cohesive image representing their new presence in the city.
With the intent to cover some of the ductwork,
we created textured pieces that loosely spell out the brand name, and if you take a couple
of steps back, the negative spaces will spell
out “NYC.”

THE PATINA OF NYC
For the textures, our intent was to create these larger than life almost exact replicas of iconic details that might not be recognized right away but will still give you the feeling of being on any NYC sidewalk.

BEHIND THE SCENES
Throughout the design process we worked closely with the fabricator, DCL, to ensure we were able to achieve the level of detail we desired and that the shapes would feel as if we took them straight from the source. This included multiple finish tests, color matching, and scale and weathering adjustments.
